Start on an 10-hour tour to Genting Highlands, a premier hill resort nestled amidst the lush Titiwangsa Mountains renowned for its cool climate, entertainment attractions, and panoramic views. Departing promptly at 9:00 am or 1:00 pm, your tour starts with a scenic 45-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur to Genting Highlands.

The Cable Car in Genting Highlands

As you ascend the hill, you’ll board the famed Genting Skyway Cable Car, one of the primary attractions that provides stunning views of the surrounding jungle and mountains as it ascends to the resort. The cable car ride itself is an experience, that offers both normal and glass-floored compartments. This 3.38-kilometer cable car ride is one of Southeast Asia’s longest and fastest, offering an exciting adventure up the mountain.
On your way up to Genting Highlands, you get to stop at the famous Chin Swee Caves Temple. This temple , located on a mountaintop overlooking the Genting Highlands Resort in Malaysia, is a peaceful and attractive religious monument dedicated to the Buddhist deity Guan Yin. Built in the 1970s, the temple combines traditional Chinese and Southeast Asian architecture, with elaborate carvings, vivid murals, and a 15-meter-tall figure of Guan Yin. Visitors can explore the temple’s caves, which are decorated with statues of Buddhist deities, as well as its nine-story pagoda and bell tower.
Once you’ve reached the summit, prepare for an extraordinary experience at Malaysia’s only land-based casino. Established in 1971, the  Genting Highlands casino offers popular table games including blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and poker, as well as electronic gambling machines with slot games, video poker, and other options that visitors can try their luck on.
Genting Highlands is more than simply a casino destination; it is also renowned as the “City of Entertainment.” After browsing the casino, take advantage of the different entertainment options, which include both indoor and outdoor amusement parks. Genting Highlands to Kuala Lumpur — Distance & Driving Time

Genting Highlands to Kuala Lumpur is approximately 50 km via the Karak Highway (E8) and the Genting Sempah turn-off. Driving time is 60–75 minutes from central KL outside of peak hours, longer on weekends and Malaysian public holidays when local traffic to the resort is heavy. Our drivers know the alternative routes and the best timing windows — pickup at 8:30 AM is the sweet spot to avoid the worst of both inbound morning traffic and weekend resort crowds.

PICKUP AREA FOR TOURS ?

Complimentary pick-up and drop-off services are available from hotels or residences located within a 5-kilometer radius of the Petronas Twin Towers. (Most of the hotels are located here.) If you are staying outside of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, kindly take a cab or Grab car and wait for us at Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

If you need pick-up from outskirt hotels, you may contact the local operator through the number stated on the booking confirmation voucher about the charges, which can be paid directly upon pick-up.

Travelers can opt to drop back at their respective hotels or the Petronas Twin Towers after completing the tour.

​WHERE TO WAIT AND HOW MY DRIVER WILL RECOGNIZE ME ?

Your driver details will be sent via WhatsApp by 9 p.m. one (1) day before the tour. Kindly be ready at the respective hotel lobby 10 minutes before the tour starts. Our driver will contact you once they have arrived at your accommodation. If you can’t find the driver, kindly contact us through the number stated on the booking confirmation voucher. The standard waiting time is only 30 minutes, and it will be considered “No Show” if you are not at the lobby on time.

Is the Awana Skyway cable car always running?

Generally yes, but it closes during electrical storms (common in afternoons) and for monthly maintenance. We check the morning of your tour and adjust the route to the alternative road approach if needed.

Is Genting Highlands cold?

Yes by Malaysian standards — 16–22°C daytime, dropping to 12–15°C at night. Bring a light jacket or hoodie.

Can I combine Genting Highlands and Batu Caves in one day?

Yes, both are north of KL on the same road. We offer this combination as a custom private tour — message us when booking.

Do you go to Skyworlds Theme Park?

We drop you at the resort with cable car tickets; Skyworlds entry is bought separately on arrival. Allow at least 4 hours inside if you want to ride most attractions.

Is the Genting Highlands tour suitable for children?

Yes, very family-friendly. The cable car, Chin Swee Temple, and Skyworlds all suit kids. Strollers fine throughout the resort.
